Project update - Closure Trials

Our client was required to carry out tailings cover trials to measure capping performance for site-specific materials for TSF closure.  Proof Projects, "owners team" are currently engaged to manage this project in western Queensland.

The outcomes of the capping trials will be used to support the selection of a preferred cover design for the closure of the TSF.

The team managed stage 1 and 2 which included excavation and HDPE liner installation, cell cover placement, instrumentation and drainage installation as well as external infrastructure including v-notch weir, and sensor, pumps and tank commissioning.

Stage 3 upcoming works will include cells ramp cover, stilling basin and chute, v-notch weir retaining wall construction, electrical and mechanical fit-work and sensor commissioning.
