Another project managed by Proof Projects.

The Proof Projects team have delivered another successful project for the mining industry in regional Queensland.

The project involved the installation of a stabilising buttress on the northern, eastern and southern sides of the tailings storage facility including into the Decant Dam (water dam) to ensure adequate factors of safety for embankment stability under liquefied conditions. The works also consisted of an array of sand filters to intercept seepage flows and suppress surface seepage expressions. Design and construction of the Cell 1 buttress was expedited to ensure Cell 1 embankment would be compliant with ANCOLD freeboard requirements prior to the 2019/2020 wet season.
